put turbo lah. supercharger oso can. Why la...go fast fast for what? the
brakes cant keep up, the chassis oso very weak. You should aim for
cornering speed. Bikes are made to take corners!

aiya..u serious aaarr...

Yesterday, while travelingg from Sungai Petani to Penang (i work there), my
EX5 Class 1 kena tapau dengan fatty makcik ride wave 100. So ashame one. My
speedometer already 110kmh, and the engine already kasar one... but the
makcik still can chase me and overtake me....the only chance for me to
catch up with that makcik when the makcik slow down becoz she afraid to
cilok cilok at highway, when so many car and bike on the road....then she
chase me back..

result : I kalah with that makcik...I though wave100 overpower compare to
my class1 110, thinking to buy RXZ or 135 LC now....which lead me to this
forum.

Aiyaa you kena tapau by fatty somemore Makcik only on 100 wave somemore
ah. I just found out lah, that makcik aah , actually aah that Makcik have
change the engine block woo to racing one lah making the bike now 135cc
like LC135 that why aah that Makcik tapau you ahh kow kow punya. Wei I
hope you don't kena tapau anymore with her lah malu mah. You belum kena
tapau lagi dengan Pakcik on C70 only , careful aah. TQ

has anyone checked the accuracy of wave 100`s speedo meter?
i doubt mine gives me the accurate reading.
when i travel at 100km/h, the kerinci link speed reader shows 95km/h.
even when i travel at 110km/h, the kerinci link speed reader shows 95km/h.
i check the speed reader at the kerinci link with a kancil 850.the
readings are the same.
i also realise that after i full throttle for about 15km,i feel as if the
bike is getting heavier.and i realise that full throttle doesn`t give me
the maximum speed!
however,i love my bike.low maintenance,good pickup during up hill, corner
baring also feels good(just fell off during a corner last friday Dead ),at
60km/h FC is 63km/h.but if i full throttle FC is about 55km/l.engine is
very reliable,had never failed even once.
the only thing that i hate boon siew is because almost all their OEM
product sucks.the OEM brake pads can`t even reduce my speed!i have to
spend RM28 for premium quality lining(from Thai).the original rim and
tyre size also very dissappointing.now i`ve change to racing boy rim with
TT100(change on 1/6/05).dah rempuh entah brapa banyak lubang pun tak
ingat,but the rim is still in perfect condition Big Smile .

In my humble opinion, kapchai will always kapchai, no mater what generation
it goes through. Speedometer in kapchai never accurate one. Even if you
compare Modenas Kriss spedometer with EX5 Class (bot 110 cc) already
different one. 130 kmh on kriss seem about 120 kmh in Ex5 Class1. But need
to admit, Kriss has more top speed while EX5 Class1 has more torque. (Ps I
change sprocket from 38 (back) to 36 today and my top speed climb from 110
to 120 at max).

Back to the topic, Honda cubchai nowadays not as good as good old days
honda ex5 for example. I still own clasic EX5 (100 cc cupchai, 1995) and it
never give me any problem. Just maintain engine oil. No filter what so
ever. I even trash the old bike like hell coz it is faster than my class1
ex5. Seriously the old engine seem has more hp on high rpm range compare to
class1 mid rpm high hp (noted, this is not fact, just what i feel from the
engine performance).

And dont believe to speedometer. Speedometer is a type of transducer (be it
mechanically or electronically), they can display detrotriate information
(signal) or purposely alter the speedometer parameter. The most not so
accurate spedometer is kapcai, then normal bike, super bike and finally
car. Even so, when Autocar (most reputable car magazine..well thats what
they claim), they use GPS (8 static positioning satelite) to trace the car
speed. If my memory still serve me well, the device name CoreLogic. They
install that device in supercar they want to measure speed performance.
Sometime they even tell reader how in accurate the sport car speedometer.
Even in supercar, the tollerance seem pretty big. At 100 kmh, the speedo
seem accurate. But start from 200 kmh++, the sport car spedo seem to show
more than actuall speed. But not too serious like cupchai of course.

Even so, base on my experience in highway (daily travel 150 kmh using
PLUS), i could conclude one thing. I can chase Honda Wave 125 and beat it
in flat road (with my 36t spocket) but i cant beat wave100. In 10 race with
wave100, 9 times i will lost. But with wave 125, most of the time i could
run from him/her. Weird but seriously i dont understand what boon siew do
to new generation 4 stroke cubchai nowaday.

it's hard to believe that you can run away from wave 125 but not wave 100.
it do sound weird.
anyway,i can't deny that some wave 100(standard) can run faster than mine.
mine is a bit slower,might be due to the givi box,or the bike being
pampered too much. Big Smile

how come you guys can go 135? betoi ka? aku punya baru sampai 117 the most.
itu pon turun bukit. kalau jln rata 105 biasa lah. naik bukit - 85 boleh
la. ni citer pasal bukit puchong ke serdang aaa.

i was in PD.that time wave100R was newly launch.i went to 1 motorcycle
shop.that owner is full of info.here are some facts bout old & new wave
from that tauke.
the new wave uses the same engine with the old wave,but the new wave uses
wave125`s body,which means more stable during corners and less vibration
during straight road.new wave have 2,1 with front disk brake & 1 with
front drum brake.the 1 with front disk brake is wave100R,with yellow rear
spring sets.the new wave have glove box under the seat,the old wave dun
have. but most of the time,that tauke talk too much bout Y135LC...
